Are you one of our of alumni from over the years?

Raleigh Boychoir started in 1968 with a $50 donation from the Women’s Club of Raleigh and a deep commitment to excellence in music and nurturing the vocal talent of boys. For 55 years, our all-boy choirs performed across the state, country, and the world. We became the go-to youth choir in the community and state, even performing for the Pope and several U.S. Presidents. Our history is both a strong foundation and evidence of our investment in the community, having nurtured the growth of hundreds of community members over the years!

In 2022, we turned the page in our organization's story, and our leadership committed to excellence in inclusivity, diversity, and accessibility on top of our continued excellence in music. Joining forces with some of the former artistic staff of the Capital City Girls Choir, we made the decision to change our programming, further our mission's reach, and begin our next movement.

As the Raleigh Youth Choir, we now serve all young singers, ages 6-18, have grown to over 100 singers, and are devoting our efforts to collaborating with the Raleigh community and surrounding areas. We believe that every young person has a voice, and we are proud to offer a community where each singer will be given the tools to grow as a musician, community member, and student.

As an alumni, there are so many
ways to get involved!

By sharing your time as a volunteer, your talents as a board member, or your treasure as a donor, you are ensuring that the next generation of young singers are afforded the same opportunities that you were!

Our organization relies heavily on the generosity of our supporters, and we hope you'll consider joining us on our mission!

"I look back fondly on my time in the Raleigh Boychoir. The friends I made, the music we sang, the performances, and tours. I want to make sure more youth have those same opportunities today with the Raleigh Youth Choir!"

We like to say Raleigh Youth Choir is more than a choir – it is a community. And we’re inviting you to be a part of that community. Each year, we continue to grow, which means we’re leaning on you to support our mission as we continue to change and grow to meet the needs of our community. Your support ensures we can afford the highest quality instructors, materials, and resources so that children can broaden their musical horizons and learn invaluable skills. But, more than anything, your generosity allows students of every race, gender, language, skill level, and socioeconomic background to access the power of music.
